Whitmar Publications Ltd (‘Whitmar’, ‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’) wants to be completely transparent about why we need the personal details we request, and how we will use them.  This policy explains how Whitmar looks after your personal data in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and also explains your rights.

Customers & Prospects

When you choose to utilise our services, such as buy event tickets, take up a reader offer, register to receive 1 or more of our printed materials, sign up to our regular newsletters, and/or enter one of our Competitions, we will ask for personal information about you, and hold this information to enable us to contact you and provide the requested service.  We may also receive your information following your attendance at an event or trade show where you indicated consent for your details to be passed to selected 3rd parties, of whom we are one.

The personal information we hold will include your name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone and/or mobile number, and the answers to our Controlled Circulation Questions specific to the magazine(s) you’ve requested to receive, alongside any specific requests you may have made, or details of events that you may have purchased tickets for or enquired about.

We want to respect your wishes and about how and when you hear from us.  At the time of supplying your data, you will have indicated your preferences as to how we contact you. This will be added to our database so that we can confirm and collect your consent to be contacted in the future. We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under 16 or knowingly allow such persons to provide us with their personal information without parent or guardian consent.  In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from anybody aged 16 or under and do not have the consent of a parent of guardian, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

We do not store credit or debit card details.

We will not share any of your personal details with any 3rd party companies for marketing purposes without collecting your explicit consent
